Orange Books in the House / Anchorman

“I’m very important. I have many orange-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.” -Me, talking like Ron Burgundy.

But seriously, there must be some marketing science behind the use of orange for book covers. I own many and I’m kind of a big deal.

Last night’s lightning show in Boston

I decided to capture this lightning show with my Flip last night. Cool mother nature effects over Charlestown.

I’m pretty sure everyone has seen this drummer by now, but I was rummaging through some old bookmarks and I had to post this. It’s a good reminder that no matter what stage you’re playing on, if you bring the passion and mad skillz, you can’t lose. And I’m guessing Will Farrell will play this guy in his biopic. (Just start at the 1 minute mark if you are impatient.)

I’m a sucker for commencement speeches. I have often referred to the “we are the sum of our choices” mantra (Albert Camus, Wayne Dyer, etc.)  in many of life’s situations. Jeff Bezos frames that ethos extremely well with a personal story and series of hypothetical forks in the road. Thanks Mr. Bezos!
